Teen model escapes 'abusive' Malaysian prince
JAKARTA (AFP) — A teenage US-Indonesian model has returned to her family in Indonesia with tales of abuse, rape and torture at the hands of a Malaysian prince, after her dramatic escape with the help of Singapore police.
Manohara Odelia Pinot, 17, told reporters she was treated like a sex slave after her marriage to Tengku Temenggong Mohammad Fakhry, the prince of Malaysia's Kelantan state, last year.
Her mother, Daisy Fajarina, said she would press charges against the 31-year-old prince, and blamed the Malaysian and Indonesian governments for trying to cover up the alleged abuse.
"The things I've been afraid of were revealed to be true. Manohara has suffered physical abuse. She's got several razor cuts on her chest," Fajarina told AFP on Monday.
"No parent could be silent if their child was treated in such a barbaric way."
The Malaysian government had ignored her pleas for access to her daughter and had blocked her from entering the country, she said, while the Indonesian embassy had said that Manohara was fine with her new husband.
But the young woman -- a well-known socialite in Jakarta -- said her life at the royal palace involved a "daily routine" of rape, abuse, torture and occasional drug injections that made her vomit blood.
She said she was usually held under guard in her bedroom at the palace and was injected with tranquilisers whenever she complained.
"I am still traumatised by all that happened and it has left an impact on me," she told reporters in Jakarta on Sunday, after escaping the royal family during a trip to Singapore over the weekend.
"Sexual abuse and sexual harassment were like a daily routine for me, and he did that every time I did not want to have sexual intercourse," she was quoted as saying in The Jakarta Globe.
"I could never think a normal man could do such things," she said, adding: "Some parts of my body were cut by a razor."
The teenager whose fairy-tale wedding to a prince captured the imagination of Indonesia said she would be tortured if she did not appear to be happy when she attended social functions with Fakhry.
"Every time I went for events they forced me to smile and would torture me if I did not do what they said," she told the press conference.
She said she secretly called Singaporean police and pleaded for help after the royal family took her to the city state when they accompanied Fakhry's father, Sultan Ismail Petra Shah II, for medical treatment.
"The police told Fakhry that he would be held in jail if he did not let me go. No one could force me against my will in Singapore and I knew I had a chance to escape," she said.
The model once voted as being among Indonesia's "100 Precious Women" said she escaped her guards by pushing the Singapore hotel elevator's emergency button.
They were reluctant to chase her because they knew the scene would be captured on security cameras.
She blasted the Indonesian embassy in Malaysia, saying: "They made it worse by telling lies, saying that I was fine while I was suffering in Kelantan."
A spokesman for the Indonesian foreign ministry insisted the embassy had done everything it could to help Manohara and said the government would assist her if she wanted to file charges against her husband.
Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin said the government would not investigate the claims.
"I think this is more of a personal matter. To date we have not been dragged into it, so we want to leave it as it is," he told reporters in Kuala Lumpur.
Malaysia's royal rulers used to enjoy immunity from criminal and civil charges but the privilege was removed in 1993.
There has been no comment from the Kelantan royal family.
Manohara's lawyer, Yuri Darmas, said she would have a medical examination to back up her allegations of abuse.
"We need one to two days to gather evidence before we file a lawsuit to the Malaysian police," he said, adding that he intended to pursue both criminal and civil lawsuits against the prince.
Manohara has already filed for divorce, her mother said.
Malaysian leaders and govt is not only complacent, but decadent as well. It is like the end of a dynastic reign, whereby emperors became weak and obssessed with life's pleasures, sex and greed. We are seeing leaders involved in women related scandals - kidnapping, abducting, murdering with bombs and fire-arms.
Police and armed personnel are used, not to fight wars but to kill and silence women and innocent persons who are deemed dangerous to the well-being of our leaders, for knowing too much about their scandals. Malaysia, sad to say, is in almost complete decadence, and the people knew it and want these leaders removed before they destroy the country.
Here is yet another case involving the most useless, scandalous and decadent of people, the royal scumbags of Malaysian sultanates, and it is not just the state of Kelantan. I mean all royal families of all states. Even the rats on the streets have more social benefits than these rascals.
I am pretty sure not many people noticed the presence of Manohara Odelia Pinot, the Indonesian model who had been allegedly kidnapped by her Kelantan Royal Family husband Tengku Muhammad Fakhry (pronounced Fuckery).
This picture of Manohara next to her husband had been published at Anwar Ibrahim’s blog and we were only aware about it after a fellow SOPO blogger Pak Bakaq blogged about his support to Manohara’s team. He was referring to Kelantan vs Selangor FA Cup final match last night April 25, where Kelantan lost 4-1 on penalties.
Sultan Kelantan had however denied that the Indonesian beauty had been kidnapped and that she had been living happily ever after with her princely husband.
A startling allegation recently surfaced in an Indonesian newspaper about a member of the Kelantan royal household, who is said to have 'abducted and abused' his 17-year-old Indonesian model wife (Manohara). According to the Surya newspaper, the family of Manohara Odelia Pinot are now in the dark as to her whereabouts and fear for her safety.
They also claimed that the model, who was named as one of the country's top models by an international magazine, was cut with a razor blade by her husband.Her mother Daisy Fajarina said the royalty had forcefully taken her daughter away in a private jet from Saudi Arabia, where the family had gone to perform the umrah last month.

The Malaysian Police has confirmed that the video of the maid who abused a toddler is in fact a case in Malaysia.
Kuala Lumpur CID Chief Senior Assistant Commissioner II Ku Chin Wah has confirmed that the video is a case in Kuala Lumpur reported in the news in November 2007, involving a consultant programmer and his then 18-year-old domestic helper. How the tape got leaked into the internet is something the Police may be interested in knowing from its own men.
According to the news report, the employer became suspicious when his three-year-old daughter repeatedly complained of stomach pains, and decided to install a web cam in his living room.
When he returned home from work, he was shocked to discover his Indonesian maid shoving, kicking and stomping on the child.
The maid was sentenced to two years' jail for assaulting the child.
The video highlighted the possible pitfalls of hiring domestic help and the need to take precautions, like installing spycams, to prevent similar incidents from happening

But for many Malaysians, this is considered a immoral offence that warrant termination from office and maybe, even public caning and stoning to death. A daring gang of robbers on motorbike barged into a victim’s residential and robbed him in broad daylight in full view of the busy traffic outside the house. They have no respect for laws in a corrupted land. One robber was holding a parang, whereas another one was holding something that looked like a video.
The area is supposed to be in KL, Taman Maluri, Cheras. And guess what? This house is just behind Police Station Balai Polis Taman Maluri, Cheras. So these poor residents got robbed by robbers after having to pay corruption money to policemen and traffic police.
A developing country with the most expensive passport in the world!
That is Malaysia. And the reasons is never fully explained by the govt. But to the Chinese and Indians, it is obvious that this is targeted at them. Chinese and Indians need to travel for survival, as their opportunities in Malaysia are restricted by the biased and racist govt policies, and also they are the ones with the many relatives in their root countries or nearby countries.
Do you want to spend RM600 to "buy" a passport just to make a once in a lifetime trip to nearby Singapore or Thailand to attend the wedding dinner of a cousin or attend funeral of a siblings? For funeral, you will not be likely to attend given the short notice and the long duration by the Immigration to issue an expensive passport. But you will always remember the reason for not being able to attend - the RM300 passport imposed by Barisan Nasional.
Many, especially the poor, who couldn't afford the RM600 will always remember those lost moments that they could have had with their loved ones, thanks to the BN. They will tell the world and their next generation about it, and voice their missing moments with their loved ones in the ballot box. For those already having a passport, rich or poor, they will be painfully reminded of the corruption and the discrimination they had to suffer under the BN, every few years, when they renew their passports. The actual cost of making a passport is less than RM10. So the RM600 ringgit passport has the word "corruption" written all over it. It is also a stark reminder of the anti-Chinese and anti-Malay mentality that is hidden behind the faces of UMNO members.
I was told Singaporeans paid only S$15 processing fee to get their passport with a 10-year duration. And we all know how prosperous Singapore is, without having to tax their citizens on some necessities like a passport. They are happy to have their own citizens going abroad and bringing home huge amount of money to stimulate the economy. Many would think that making a passport is a small and insignificant procedure, and those rich Indians and Chinese should have no problem paying up. They forgot, only 15% of the Chinese/Indians are considered rich, and the other 85% had only the ballot box to let out their frustrations. And let out their frustrations they did, as shown in the results of the last General Election.
The low IQ ministers we had in Malaysia, will never understand why they are losing votes. After all, they have built many shopping malls, mosques, bridges and highways. To BN, these Chinese and Indians were unfaithful and disloyal. They will never realise that most people, especially the poorer folks, don't go to such places and use such facilities. But they will need a passport to get out of the country to earn a living elsewhere.
What these UMNO good-for-nothing need to learn is to built bridges with the people, and they will go a long way, by charging their own countrymen a fair and reasonable price for processing a passport instead of using it as a tool to show their displeasure with the non-Bumiputras.
A passport is no different from an IC or a Birth Cert. Everyone must have one, and only one. And we pay huge tax to the govt every year, because of these identifications. By right, it should be given free like our BC.
So as a Malaysian, always remember when you are queuing up for hours renewing or making a passport, never vote for a corrupted, abusive, time wasting and blood sucking BN into power.

Thanks to GutterUncensored, once again we exposed the double standard being practised in Malaysia.
The sons of Tan Sri Najib (Prime Minister to be, of Msia) and Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz womanizing and drinking to their hearts delight, while other muslims would have been jailed and beaten up by police or Islam enforcing khalwat officers.
They didn't seem too scandalous to be shown here but it turns out they do show some illegal activities going on by the sons of well-heeled people. These pictures show the son of Nazri Aziz and the son of Seri Najib enjoying themselves womanising and boozing it up.
These men are the sons of big time politicians in Malaysia. The Najib guy seem to be drunk most of the time but that Anak Nazri dude seem like he is constantly after a come. Muslim laws in the country seem to apply differently for different classes of people.
Seriously, I do think alcohol and womanising is strictly prohibited under Islamic Shariah laws, and Malaysia proclaimed itself to be an Islamic country, probably to gain votes. Luckily these guys are rich and politically connected so bring on the sluts and the wine.
These dudes might one day grow up to rule the country but they might want to keep the great lifestyles instead. If I were these guys I would be doing the same including making my girlfriend screwing around with other girls when I am busy hammering other pretty girls that came along.

Outspoken Bukit Lanjan assemblyman Elizabeth Wong lodged a police report at the Damansara police station Petaling Jaya on Sunday night over nude pictures and videos of her that have been circulating via MMS.
In a statement released today, Wong said that the distribution and publication of these photos/ video was a malicious attack.
Petaling jaya OCPD Asst Comm Arjunaidi Mohamed confirmed a report was lodged and that police were investigating. but he said that they don't have the pictures and they have not seen them.
Elizabeth Wong won the Bukit Lanjan seat with a majority of over 5,000, the second largest majority won by a PKR state assembly candidate in Selangor.
She was later appointed a member of the Selangor state executive council, in charge of Tourism, Consumer Affairs and the Environment. She is also the information chief of the Women’s wing of PKR and of her division Petaling Jaya Utara.
It is rumoured that the pictures may have been taken and circulated by an ex-boyfriend.

I was informed on Friday, Feb 13, 2009 by journalists from The Malay Mail that they have in their possession intimate photos of myself and that the newspaper will be publishing a story about these photographs.
I was told that some people are trying to distribute photos/ videos showing me asleep in partial nudity and also in intimate positions.
The distribution and publication of these photos/ video is a malicious attack on my personality. This constitutes a gross outrage on my modesty, a gross invasion of my privacy, and in particular the sanctity of my personal life. It is being done by unscrupulous persons to embarrass and discredit me?
I am a victim in this incident.
I have yesterday lodged a police report in relation to this matter and I will fully cooperate with the police in their investigation. I will therefore not speculate publicly about those responsible for this gross invasion of my privacy.
I have received a lot of support from my supporters, friends, colleagues and members of my constituency. I wish to thank them for their concern, support and encouragement.
My family members are standing behind me. I would like to appeal to the media to give me and my family members some breathing space in this trying time so that I can weather this huge challenge.
I will in the meantime continue to carry out my task of serving the people of Selangor faithfully.

KUALA LUMPUR: The female newscaster and a part-time actress-cum-scriptwriter who were picked up during an alleged sex party on New Year Eve's are expected to be slapped with drug charges soon.
City police narcotics department chief Assistant Commissioner Kang Chez Chiang said the two women, along with seven revellers, tested positive for ecstasy and ketamine.
Kang said: "We are awaiting further test results."
The newscaster was identified as Farahrizan Abdul Razak (picture), 22, with Astro Awani channel while the identities of the others were not revealed. Farahrizan is said to be a popular face on the 24-hour news channel.
She and the other eight were among 26 revellers between the ages of 18 and 31 who were nabbed when police gate-crashed the New Year Eve's party at a serviced apartment in Jalan P. Ramlee here about 3.30am on Thursday.
The raiding party found liquor and ketamine, ecstasy and syabu in the 11th-floor unit. It also found unused condoms.
Kang said: "All 26 suspects have been remanded until Sunday. We are trying to find out who supplied the drugs."
Police, however, will not pursue sex charges against the 26 as investigations revealed that no sex party had taken place.
City Criminal Investigations Department chief Senior Assistant Commissioner II Ku Chin Wah, while confirming this, said it was a narcotics investigation.
It was reported that those who attended the party knew each other through Friendster, a social networking site on the Internet. Among those who turned up were college students.
It was also reported that the group had met earlier at a nightspot in Mont Kiara before adjourning to the serviced apartment.
